This Evening is the third of the Lent talks after the 6.30 pm Evensong with Revd. Dr. Jim Blackstone and the theme is “Praying with Icons and the Body”.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Presentation to Adam Boulter: If you would like to contribute to a presentation to Adam in appreciation of his ministry as Curate for the last four years, please hand it to one of us or send it to the office. Any cheques should be payable to Battersea Parish Church. We shall be saying farewell to Adam, Beth, Joseph and Hannah on Easter Sunday. Many thanks Sarah Macnab and Chris Moxey.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. The Flower Group invites you to join them in making the posies for Mothering Sunday; this year we will be meeting in Alison Watson's house at 10.00 a.m. on Saturday, 17th March.  It will not take very long and we have a wonderful chat while we work – just let either Alison or Sarah Bryant know and we will be delighted to see you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Getting Involved on Sundays: If you’d like to help in any of the following ways please speak to one of the clergy or the person indicated. Ways of being involved in worship: Reading the Bible in Worship (Cynthia Newman), Leading the Prayers (Robert Law), Singing in the Choir (Martyn Noble), Welcoming People to Church (Diana Goodwin), Serving Coffee (Diana Goodwin), Playing in the First Sunday Band (Mary Tester), Helping Lead our Weekly Service at Meadbank BUPA Hospital (Alison Wintgens). Additionally, after Easter Simon will be training up two new teams: one of adults and children who would like to be Servers, to assist the clergy in worship, and the second of lay people to assist leading the 11am Sunday Service. Let’s make St Mary’s even more inclusive!
